neck deep at the end of the first week

alot has happend in this past week; so a fabulous blog post is in the works of course. this post, in true procrastinator fashion, is just a preview for the big one. adventures have been a daily occurance; so be sure to pack your lunch, some cash for the heli pilot, always check the car fluid levels, and never seperate yourself from your sunscreen (the kiwi sun offers twice the burn in half the time).

life is good on the west coast of new zealand's south island. lots of time to work with lots of options. the $10 campsite by the beach is worth the money, taking full advantage of course. gas here is NZ$1.45 a liter; that's US$4.50 a gallon. a four wheel drive station wagon: NZ$900. forget that mess because you can eat meat pies and watch the sun set over the southern pacific after a day in the mountains flying on helicopters for your shuttle at the river.

stay tuned for full details in text and photo shortly, unless something too good to miss goes down somewhere far from internet access.
